Lykke Best Student Presentation Prizes, 2017

Background:

The Computational Finance Workshop is organized by Dr Carmine Ventre, Director of the CCFEA, sponsored by the School of Computer Science and Electronic Engineering, University of Essex. A prize was donated by Richard Olsen (Visiting Professor at CCFEA) for the best student presentation.

Judging:

Following the Lykke style, winners were crowd judged. The audience were invited to provide feedback to Edward Tsang (coordinator of this Prize).

All the feedback received praised the clarity of the winning presentations. Thought put into the research was also mentioned.

Winners:

We have two joint winners:

• Nora Alkhamees (who also won the Lykke Best Presentation Prize in 2016), IADS, University of Essex
• Adesola Adegboye, University of Kent

Prizes:

Each of the winners receives an electronic certificate (see below) plus 200 LKK, which is equivalent to around £45 in today's exchange rate (but as Nora would be able to tell, LKK value has gone up sharply since 2016).
