My thoughts are with the people who suffer from the recent earthquake and tsunami in Japan. Disaster brings out the true quality of the Japanese of the Japanese people.
A 9.0 scale megathrust earthquake struck Sendai in Japan on 11 March 2011. It was accompanied by tsunami. Thousands of people have died. Millions were without water and electricity. Three nuclear reactive plants have been been damaged. Explosions have been reported on these nuclear plants. Spreading radiation is a serious threat. The situation is yet to be contained. A lot of rescues have to be done. More aftershocks are likely to happen.
My thoughts are with the victims of the earthquake. And I have a lot of admiration for the Japanese people who have handled the situation orderly. Many people handle the situation calmly. Many people offer help to each other. There is no looting. There doesn't seem to be any news about shopkeepers trying to profit from the situation. Disaster brings out the true quality of the Japanese people.
I hope the problems will be contained soon.
